William V. "Bill" Druse, 83, departed us on June 18, 2007. He was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Lima, Ohio.
While stationed in Kingman, he met and married Rose Mary (Vallely), and upon discharge from the U.S. Air Force he moved to Prescott. Later they took their two sons and moved to the Navajo Indian Reservation where they ran "Three Hogans" trading post, west of Lupton, Ariz., for many years.
They both considered Prescott their home, and returned permanently in 1962.
He worked for the City of Prescott, and then for Arizona Public Service until he retired. He was also the owner of the "Owl Bar" and the "Lido Bar" in Prescott, as well as the "Fishing Hole" in Chino Valley.
He was known for his sense of humor, his honesty, and his love of the outdoors. He was simply a great guy to be around, and we will miss him dearly.
