MAHON, Helen (Doris)

Helen "Doris" Mahon, 84 yrs old, beloved mother & grandmother went to heaven March 28, 2004. She was a long-time resident of Tempe, but most recently lived in Tucson. 

Born Sept. 26, 1919 in Jersey City, NJ where she met and married Michael Mahon, who preceded her to heaven in May 1988 as did her daughters, Mary and Michelle, in 1953 and 1956, respectively. 

Doris was a WWII Veteran, U.S. Army. 

She is survived by 5 other children, their spouses and 6 grandchildren. Ellen Willhite (Ted) of Tempe, Cynthia Stirber and Leah Lockhart (Scott); Susan Mahon (David Coburn) of Spring Lake, FL; Michael, Jr. (Robin) of Moscow, Russia, Michael III and Robert; Dennis (Edie) of Tucson; and, Kevin (Peggy) of Tempe, Nick and Melissa. 

Visitation, rosary at Tempe Mortuary, 405 E. Southern Ave., Sunday April 4th, 2004. Funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 S. Rural Rd., Monday April 5th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1028 E. McDowell Rd. Phx 85006 or S. AZ VA Health Care System, Hospice Unit, 3601 S. 6th Ave. Tucson 85713
