Catherine Lee Reehl, 91, of Phoenix, Ariz., followed our Lord home Jan. 26, 2007.
We know she is joyfully dancing with her husband, Carl E. Reehl, or playing favorite music on a magnificent golden organ.
She was an amazing lady of integrity, strength and courage. Love motivated all her efforts of good will, compassion, determination and faith. She was honest and pure and dealt fairly without discrimination with all people. Catherine was beautiful, loving, talented, cheerful and funny. She enjoyed everyone. She lived an amazing life.
While attending two years of nursing education she played piano in a jazz/blues dance band and was co-owner/manager of a photography business, Wallace Studios in Phoenix; real estate agent for Red Carpet Realtors; passed Morse code to earn her FCC Operator's license in Ham Radio; drove a 1960 Austin Healey Sprite; raced sports cars and won many trophies for Jerome Hill Climbs, Manzanita Races and Mel Larson's Speedway. She played organ at church and was a nursery and Sunday school teacher and a hospital Pink Lady.
Catherine's daughters are Sue Ellen Gross and Cathy Ann Davis. She has seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two nieces; three nephews and many great- and great-great nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of her Life Memorial Service will be at Hansen Chapel. 8314 N. 7th Street, in Phoenix at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007.
