Maxine Stephens Gilliland, 73, passed away Oct. 10, 2006, in Chino Valley She was born on May 16, 1933, in Pinetop, Ariz.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Gilliland of Chino Valley; son, Rick (Gayle) Gilliland of Prescott; daughters Connie (Perry) Hickman of Chino Valley, Raeleen Richardson of North Carolina, and Judy (Don) Lough of Phoenix; sisters Norma O'Dell of Duncan and Nadine (Thomas) Elms of Duncan; and brother Bill (Wanda) Stephens of Central.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wimp Stephens of Duncan and sister. Sue Romney of Page.
Maxine was a homemaker as well as a hairdresser for twelve years in Prescott. She also worked in the family business in Prescott, Village Cleaners.
At retirement she and her husband raced horses in the southwestern states.
She and Ken enjoyed spending part of the year in the Duncan Valley and the rest of the year in Prescott.
Services were held at the Duncan Stake Center on Oct. 14, 2006, and burial took place at the Duncan Cemetery.
