VICKERS, Glen Alan

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, November 23, 2011 Glen Alan Vickers, age 68 of Globe, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011. He was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. on Feb. 9, 1943, the son of Zona (McRae) and Horace “Pop” Vickers. Glen started and managed the LARC Center in Globe for several years. He was an active, hardworking man that enjoyed taking care of his mules. Glen loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed and warmly remembered. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beverly Barron. Glen leaves behind in loving memory three children, Alan (Karen) Vickers of Chandler, Ariz., Darrin (Nidia) Vickers of Galveston, Texas, and Dana (Darryl) Deatherage of Globe, Ariz.; two brothers, Zed Vickers of Idaho and Hugh Vickers of Globe, Ariz.; three sisters, Betty Tucker of Texas, Tennie Davis of Globe, Ariz. and Sue Bilson of Globe, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Globe Christian Center, 509 E. Maple St., in Globe, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for Glen A. Vickers were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe.
