West Valley View, Avondale, AZ November 15, 2011 Dr. George R. Pieper, 83, of Surprise and formerly of Tolleson died Nov. 12, 2011, in Surprise from the effects of Alzheimer's. Dr. Pieper was born Feb. 2, 1928, in La Crosse, Wis., to Chester and Elisabeth. He moved to Arizona in 1990, and was a doctor. He was a member of the Army from 1945 to 1946. He was a member of the Grace Bible Church of Sun City. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; one daughter, Christine Pieper-Sather of Hollandale, Wis.; one son, David of Reseda, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. No formal services have been planed. He will be buried at a cemetery in Santa Barbara, Calif. His body was donated to the Banner Health Research Institute in Sun City. Memorials can be sent to the Tolleson Woman's Club, P.O. Box 485, Tolleson, AZ 85353, for distribution to the Tolleson Public Library and Senior Center, where he met his wife in 1991.
