Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online on November 21, 2011 - Mark Thomas Verhel, age 57, a 10-year resident of Fort Mohave, Ariz., lost his battle to cancer at home with his family on Monday, November 14, 2011. He was born December 1, 1953, in Duluth, Minn. Mark was a good hearted man that loved to sing, and who left us all to early to look down on us from the heavens and watch over us as we continue the journey through life. One day we all will be together, but until that day comes, he looks over his family and loved ones as their guardian angel. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lucinda Verhel. Mark is survived by his wife, Barbara Verhel of Fort Mohave; two sons, Chris and Adam; three daughters, Chelsea, Amber and Christin; brother, Andy; two sisters, Robin and Donna; four grandchildren, Easton, Avea, Zyler and Odell; and many nieces and nephews. A memory of a life of so beautifully lived, and a heart so deeply loved, will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. (Nevada time) on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort, 1650 South Casino Drive in Laughlin, Harbor Port 1 and 2.
