Eugene (Gene) Austin Giermann passed away on Nov. 25, 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; his beloved daughter, Tania Duggan; his son-in-law, James Earl (Jed) Duggan; his grandson, Nicholas; and granddaughter, Ashley.

Gene cared about people in life, with his involvement in the Community Partnership for Comfort Care, the former Arizona Death with Dignity, the Diversity Alliance, past Chair of Yavapai County Democrats, and other important issues. He also cared about people in death, as he donated his body to scientific research, hoping to help others.
