Norma L. Farr, age 85, born July 1, 1921, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, passed away December 10, 2006.
Norma moved to Prescott in 1975, where she resident for 31 years. She moved from Covina, California, where she had lived, married and raised two children and worked at Mount San Antonio College until retirement in 1973.
Norma was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Prescott. She loved yearly fishing trips to Baja, California, with her husband, Woody, and various family members.
In 1988 and '89 she traveled to South Africa two successive years in service to the church where she enjoyed meeting with and learning about the South African people and culture.
She served her Lord and Savior with all her heart and passed this on to her children and people she would meet. Norma was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, caring and giving heart for all ages. She always cooked huge meals for family and friends during the holidays.
Norma's husband, Woody; sister, Elsie; and grandson, Matthew, preceded her in death.
Survivors include son, James; daughter, Lila; sister, Doris; daughter-in-law, Nancy; grandchildren, Jamie, Isaac, Brandon and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Anna, Matthew, James, Caleb. Amie and Samuel; nieces, Connie, Pam and Debbie; nephews, David, Richard and Randy; dear friends, Jean Bloecher, Pam Brunton and Lynn Shoopman.
The family extends special thanks to The Margaret T. Morris Alzheimer's Center administration and caregivers for their undying devotion to her care and welfare and to Hospice of the Valley for their vision of what care she needed in her last days.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Heritage memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., in Prescott, Ariz. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at 1 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, 1455 Willow Creek Road, in Prescott, Ariz.
Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
