CARMICHAEL, Russell John (Russ)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, December 9, 2006 Russell John Carmichael, 69, went home to God on Dec. 6. 2006. He was born in Monticello, Iowa, to Gene M. Carmichael and Edna Catherine Schoon Carmichael. Russ was a loving husband survived by his wife, Dodie, of 48 years. Together they have resided in Prescott for the past 36 years, where they have raised their three children, Teresa; Kathleen and son-in-law, Tony; and Patrick and daughter-in-law, Kellie. Always surrounded by his grandchildren, Jesse, Tobias, Nathan, Matthew, Adam, Aaron (deceased), Meghan, Andrea and great-grandson Joseph. Russ will also be remembered by his siblings, Joan and Steven. He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Ann. Russ worked for Arizona Public Service as a Lineman/District Serviceman for over 33 years. He will be fondly remembered as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Sacred Heart Church, and the Knights of Columbus. His passion was hunting, deep-sea fishing, and touching the lives of all who knew him with his sense of humor and warm heart. Rosary and visitation is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. at Heritage Memory Chapel Mortuary. A "Celebration of Life" Mass will be held on Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury Ave, in Prescott. Luncheon to follow Mass.
