Roberta Almyra Lamma, age 92, was born July 26, 1914, to Robert and Laura Nye in Phoenix. She met her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2007.
Roberta, fondly called Biff, was a native Arizonan. She was raised on a ranch in the Huachuca Mountains, graduated from Tombstone High School and attended NAU, then called Flagstaff Normal. She spent the majority of her life in Patagonia as the wife of Frank Lamma for 53 years and the mother her only child, Zenda.
Biff was active in her church her entire life, always a volunteer for any activity. She worked with her husband in their family business and worked for the U.S. Post Office. She wrote articles and a book on Santa Cruz County and southern Arizona. Nature was a passion; she loved to hike and lead walking tours around Patagonia and the old Sunnyside Ranch.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling. She always kept in touch with friends and she loved her family. Biff spent her last five years in Prescott with her daughter's family enjoying her grandchildren.
Biff is survived by her daughter Zenda Malanga (Mark); grandchildren Megan McKissen (Dustin), Dustin Malanga (Jenny), Alex and Micah Malanga; and great-grandchildren Elizabeth Stewart and Dylan McKissen.
The family wishes to thank the YRMC hospice for their care. Private services will be graveside in Patagonia, Ariz.
