Cecil "Uncle Bear" Sayles, 78, of Avondale died June 22, 2010, in Avondale.

Mr. Sayles was born March 11, 1932, in San Antonio to James and Mamie. He served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He had a career as a skycap. He moved to Arizona in 1995.

He is survived by three daughters, Ava, Sheryl and Gina; one son, Victor; one sister, Clar Smith; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
