James R. "Cowboy" Wilhelm, 58, of Tonopah died June 19, 2010.

Mr. Wilhelm was born March 18, 1952, in Halliday, N.D., to Les and Lil. He served in the Army from 1971 to 1973 as a paratrooper in the 82nd Division Airborne. He trained horses and designed leather artwork.

He is survived by one son, Cody; five daughters, Kaycee James, Chantry James, Bree James, Jessica James and Jaice; his companion, Jennifer Batchelor; three sisters; three brothers; and four grandchildren.

Services will take place at a later date in both Tonopah and North Dakota.
