West Valley View, Avondale, AZ June 29, 2010 James Edward Towns, 80, of Buckeye died June 23, 2010. Mr. Towns was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Jenifer, Ala., to Fred and Elsie. He moved to Arizona in 1987. He was a clergyman, owned a barbecue restaurant and worked as an excavation contractor. He is survived by his wife, Eula Mae; two daughters, Rhonda Conrad and Vanessa Williams; two sons, James Eric and Mark Edward; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road in Goodyear. Visit the Web site thompsonfuneralchapel.com to leave condolences for the family.
