Roseanne (Niemyt) Cartledge passed away June 17, 2007. She was born on March 1, 1939, and grew up in Milwaukee, Wise. She graduated Alverno College with a BFA and attained her MFA at the University of Oklahoma.
Her Mexican and Honduran experiences created a love of Hispanic culture and drew her to the Southwest where she lived her adult life. She came to Prescott in 1990 and began teaching at Prescott College in 1991. Her love of teaching, her colleagues and her students made her an unforgettable part of Prescott College.
She is survived by her beloved partner, James Craig Ball; her sister, Madeleine Pelfrey; and her sister and husband, Judith and James Nothern and their daughters Stephanie Tatulli, her husband Anthony Tatulla and son Tony; and Melissa Brooks and her husband Joshua Brooks.
She is loved and will be missed by her many friends and colleagues.
A memorial gathering will be held at Prescott College Crossroads Cafe on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
