Paul Iovan passed away January 29, 2004, at the age of 85.
Born September 10, 1918, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, his father was a Romanian Baptist Minister and the family of 6 boys and 1 girl were raised in Detroit, Michigan.
Paul worked for Ford Motor Company as a Process Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan, and retired in 1974. He and wife, Janet, retired to New Port Richey, Florida, and resided there until 2000, when they relocated to Chandler, Arizona, to be near many of their children and grandchildren.
Paul was a classical musical lover, and a professional tenor soloist, always active in his local church choir. He was also 'Mr. Fix-it' to his friends and family and they kept him very busy with projects and repairs.
Survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet, 3 daughters: Karen Stache, Donna Sweeney, and Cindy Aaslid, and 2 sons: Paul Iovan and Greg Iovan, and 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 brothers: Silas Iovan, Steven Iovan, and Peter Iovan, and 1 sister: Florence Kelso.
