Margaret A. Laguna-Bustillo, 57, of Mesa, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 28, 2004, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Margaret was born July 6, 1946 in Miami, AZ. She was a long time waitress at Mexican restaurants around the valley, and serving her public the last 25 years at La Pinata Restaurant in Phoenix, retiring only when she was too ill to continue. Margaret is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Louie R. Bustillo, Sr., sons Steven S. Bustillo and James T. Bustillo, sister Mary Amiot (Harold), brothers Richard Laguna (Tami), Arturo Laguna, Joseph Laguna, Ralph Arellano (Grace), Alex Salazar (Jan), step-children Alice Bustillo Levesque (Jerry), Louie Bustillo Jr. (Sandy), Kathy Williams (Mike), Vince Bustillo (Karen), Daniel Bustillo (Celina), Victoria Rushefsky (Steve), and Matthew Bustillo (Brigit) and loving family of cousins, nieces and nephews. Margaret was devoted to her 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who will miss her. Margaret's passion for beauty, her creativity and generosity will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation with Rosary was at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Funeral Mass was at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1730 W. Guadalupe Rd., Mesa. Interment at St. Francis Cemetery. Family requests donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. Published in the Arizona Republic from 2/1/2004 - 2/2/2004.
