KNAPP, George Jacob

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, October 22, 1974 George Knapp George J. Knapp, 63, died at Cox Medical Center, Springfield, Mo., on Thursday from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born on July 29, 1911, in Milton, Pa. and moved to Arizona in 1956. He had been a nurse’s aide at the Whipple VA Hospital for several years and also owned the Knapp Tree and Wood Yard for a number of years. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Prescott Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Dorothy, of Prescott; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Garner, of Bakersfield, Calif., and Miss Edith Knapp, of California; four sisters and three brothers out of state. Services have been scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
