The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, November 5, 1974 Maggie Staranick Rites To Be Here Maggie Staranick, 94, died in Downey, Calif., Saturday. She was born in Yugoslovia on Sept. 29, 1880 and came to this country in 1900. She had lived in Humboldt before moving to Downey to live with her daughter. Survivors include four sons, John, of Huntington Park, Calif., Joe, of Las Vegas, Pete of Prescott, Nick of Phoenix; five daughters, Mrs. Frances Wells, of Spokane, Mrs. Katie Criswell, of Las Vegas, Mrs. Margaret Sandstone, of Chandler, Mrs. Helen Makeroff, of Downey, Mrs. Anne Carol, of Garden Grove, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Mass of the Resurrection will be said at Sacred Heart Church Wednesday at 9 a.m. with burial to follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Memory Chapel.
