MELI, Jeffrey Owen

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, December 2, 2006 Jeffrey Owen Meli, age 31, died Nov. 11, 2006, in Tucson, Ariz. Jeffrey was born July 11, 1975, at Marquette, Michigan, the son of Paul J. Meli, Jr. and Joyce M. Beach. Jeffrey grew up in the Prescott Valley area and graduated from Bradshaw Mountain High School in 1993. He attended Yavapai College and Northern Michigan University, but followed in his stepfather's footsteps and became an electrician. Jeffrey loved sports and played baseball in high school. He continued to play and especially enjoyed softball, bowling, pool and skiing. Jeffrey's greatest loves were his family, his border collie, Ashley, Music and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing; He will be remembered by all for his unique sense of humor. Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Paul Meli and Joyce Beach; his sister, Jacqueline B. Meli; several step-brothers and step-sisters; and his grandparents, Loyola O. and Jacqueline Dollar; cousins Kevin D. Mullinax and Heather May; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his best friend, Charles A. Thurman; his beloved uncle, Ralph W. Dollar; and his stepfather and mentor, E. Samuel Beach. A commemoration service in honor of Jeffrey will be Monday Dec. 4, 2006, at 3 p.m., at the Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, 8167 E.
