Born June 19, 1913 in Cleveland, OH; he was a retired Teamster and Veteran. He is survived by his sister, Clara Wallstrom of Chesterland, OH, sons, Frank Salamone (Maria) of Chesterland, OH, Paul Salamone (Sheri) of Phoenix, AZ, daughters Grace Glavas (Tico) of Phoenix, AZ, and Donna Salamone of Phoenix, AZ, Grandchildren Bryan, Tara, Sandy, Mark, Shannon, Lisa, Christina and Tico, Great Grandchildren Christian, Nicholas, Matthew, Megan, Daniella, Simon, and Silvia. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine (Fontana) Salamone, his parents, Frank L. and Mary R. (Ziajka) Salamone, and sisters Augusta Seither and Marie Provenzano. Graveside services will be held on Thurs. Dec 1, 10:00AM at National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85004; arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home, Peoria, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joe's last place of residence, Baptist Village Thunderbird, 13617 N 55 Ave., Glendale, AZ 85034.
