Weekly Journal – Miner, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, August 25, 1909, page 4 Many Friends Attend Funeral of Mrs. E. I. Roberts Funeral services for Mrs. E. I. Roberts were held Sunday afternoon and her remains now lie beside those of her husband who passed away seven years ago. The funeral took place from the late residence on North Pleasant street, where Mrs. Roberts resided for many years. Rev. W. H. Lathe, of the Congregational church, officiated at the services, Mrs. Roberts having been a member of that church. Following the remains to the grave was a large number of friends and relatives, it being one of the largest corteges seen in this city in recent years. Many attended from the outside to still further attest to the beautiful character of the deceased. Floral tributes were profuse, and sorrow was expressed by all over her death. Pallbearers were Messrs. R. H. Burmister, J. A. Tobias, A. J. Head, M. B. Hazeltine, T. W. Otis, J. I. Gardner. Maus & Shannon directed the funeral. ------------------- Note: Her full name was Jane (Williams) Roberts and her husband was Edward Isaac Roberts.
