Rutland (VT) Herald Tuesday, November 29, 2011 Lillian Edith Snyder, 81, died Nov 26, 2011, at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness. She was born in Hyde Park, Feb 24, 1930, the daughter of Leo A and Velma Pauline (Nichols) Coty, and received her education locally. She was employed at the Equinox in Manchester as a waitress, at BenMont Paper Co. and Bennington Dry Cleaners, and later worked at Jard Corp. in Bennington. Mrs Snyder was a member of Women's Auxiliary at VFW Post 1332 and Bennington Moose Lodge. She enjoyed dancing, especially the two-step, and going to bingo. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Gauthier and Charlotte Crawford, both of Bennington; two sons, Robert Crawford of Pine Level, NC, and Franklin Crawford of Wickenburg, Ariz; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leo Coty of Dudley, Mass., and Earl Coty of West Brookfield, Mass.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husbands, Francis Crawford, Donald P Snyder and Fred Boise, and two sons, Francis and Joseph Crawford. Friends may call from 4 to 6pm Tuesday, Nov 29, at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 11am Thursday, Dec 1, in Center Shaftsbury Cemetery.
