Obituary
Nancy K. Stimson, whose funeral occurred yesterday, was born in Arkansas, July 23, 1836, and died at Globe, Ariz., Jan. 18, 1910, at the age of seventy-three years, four months and twenty-five days.
When yet a child she went with her parents to Texas where they settled near the Guadalupe river. It was while living in Texas that her father was killed by Indians.
About the time the civil war began she became the wife of Elder Richard C. Watson, a minister of the Disciples of Christ. Three children resulted from this union, all of whom were present yesterday.
Later the family moved to Arkansas and then returned to Texas. After the death of Mr. Watson, Mrs. Watson contracted a second marriage with Logan Stimson, whose death occurred a year later.
In 1887, Mrs. Stimson came to Arizona and for a short time lived with her brothers in Tempe. Since 1890 her home has been with her children in Globe. She has been a life-long member of the Disciples or Christian Church.
She is survived by two brothers in Tempe, Ariz., one in Tennessee, three sisters in Texas and one in Oklahoma, and by three children, David Watson, J. R. Watson and Mrs. Jane Watson Rawlings, the two last names living in this city.
The bereaved have the sympathy of their many friends in this city.
