Newspaper Unknown June 8, 1929 ELMER SYKES DIES AT HIS HOME IN PHOENIX Word was received in Prescott last night of the death of Elmer Sykes in Phoenix Saturday. He was formerly a resident of Prescott and was well known. Funeral services are to be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Phoenix, it was stated. He is survived by his widow, two sons and a daughter. One of the sons is now on his way home from India. Mr. Sykes came to Prescott about 1917 and remained here for eight years. He was in the mining business and for a long time was connected with the United Verde mines.
