"Auntie" Smith, as she was always known in the Valley, was 88 years old when she passed on. For the last few years she has been the oldest Arizona pioneer at the pioneer reunions held in Phoenix each year. Mrs. Smith is survived by a number of children; Mrs. Renos Smith Thompson, Mrs. Ralph Smith Marshall, Morris Smith, at whose Glendale home she passed away, Wyatt Smith and Bud Smith. She had two other children, Mrs. Dollie Smith Mayhon, who died about 15 years ago, and William Edward Smith, who died about 4 years ago. It is expected that she will be interested (interred) in a Verde Cemetery, as the valley was her home for the greater part of her life. ---------------------- Note: Burial is at the Middle Verde Cemetery, Verde Valley, Ariz.
