ZALESKY, Edna Ida

The Verde Valley Independent, Verde Valley, Arizona Wednesday, June 12, 1985 Edna Zalesky Cottonwood - Services were held Monday at Westcott Funeral home for Verde Valley native, Edna Ida Gray Zalesky, who died at her home Friday. She was 92. Mrs. Zalesky was born July 22, 1892, in Cornville. She and her late husband, Frank, operated a feed and tack store here for many years, and were active in the agricultural community. They lived in Bridgeport on 160 acres homesteaded by her father in the late 1880’s; in the area now named Zalesky Road. A homemaker, Mrs. Zalesky was on of the original members of the Bridgeport Homemakers Club. Survivors include daughter, Helen Clark of Cottonwood; granddaughters, Kathy Wright, Cottonwood and Mary Sterrett, Prescott; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Zalesky FFA Scholarship Fund at First Interstate Bank in Cottonwood.
