BENAVIDEZ, Angel

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, December 01, 2011 Angel Benavidez of Bagdad, Ariz., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at age 57. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Angel was born in Miami, Ariz., in 1954 to Thomas and Catalina, the second-youngest of 10 children. His family relocated to Bagdad when he was 7 years old and he graduated from Bagdad High School. Angel worked in the mining industry his entire career and, as a single father, raised his three children, Henry, Adam and Reanna. Angel indulged in simple pleasures and cherished his children and most of all his grandchildren, Jonathon and Hunter Benavidez, Christian and Aubrie Benavidez and Clayton and Lyndsay Webb. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Wickenburg, Ariz. Remembrance ceremony to follow at the Elks Lodge, 122 Frontier St., Wickenburg, Ariz. Arrangements by David's Desert Chapel F.H. Wickenburg. Information provided by survivors.
