Greer's Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Memorial Services for Victoria Rubi will held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church 411 N. Warren. Victoria M. Rubi, age 87, was called home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Victoria was born on July 28, 1924 in Puerto De Luna, New Mexico. She moved to Winslow, Arizona in 1928 and married the love of her life, Eddie (Champ) Rubi. Victoria worked for most of her life as a checker in various grocery stores in Winslow. She always said that she loved her job because she met so many wonderful people in Winslow, the town that she loved. While her presence will always be missed, friends and family know that Vickie dedicated her life to serving the Lord, and that she looked forward to being reunited with her loved ones in Heaven she enjoyed going to church and spending time with family and friends. Everyone will remember Victoria for her smile and her faith in the Lord. She carried happiness everywhere she ventured, and brightened the lives of all those around her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Rubi and many other family members. She is survived by her son, Joseph E. Rubi, of Prescott Arizona, her daughter Becky Kolomitz (Richard) of Winslow, her eight grandchildren: Sara Brennan, Renee Haase, Jillian Stotts, Aaron Rubi, Jerusha Schmalzel, Josiah Rubi, Rebekah Parker, and Danny Kolomitz, and her 11 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Goyo Moncayo, sister Esther Smith and any cousins, nieces and nephews.
