Rita Mae Munn born near Colorado Springs, CO on October 13, 1922, passed peacefully away at home in Mesa, Arizona on January 31, 2004, in the presence of those she loved.
A resident of Arizona for over 60 years, Mae will be dearly missed by many whose lives she touched in unexpected ways.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William J. Munn, daughter Gloria D. Romey, brothers Marion Smith and George Smith and sister Dorothy Creed. Survivors include her brother Richard Smith, granddaughter Lisa Romey, and son-in-law Ted Romey.
Services were held at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel 6747 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa. 480-830-4422. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014 or the Arizona Human Society Rescue 9226 N. 13th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85021.
