Newspaper Unknown Wednesday, July 2, 1930 Arizona Pioneer Dies at Ranch Home Near Dewey Jackson Henderson, one of Arizona's most beloved pioneers, who died suddenly at his ranch home in the Dewey district Wednesday, was yesterday buried at Middle Verde, with a large group of relatives and friends attending the services and burial. Mr. Henderson, who has lived in the Dewey district for approximately 20 years, was engaged in stock raising during the major part of his life. Before taking over the Dewey ranch he was located in the Verde country. He leaves several relatives, a son, Perry Henderson, being a well known Frontier Days contestant. He leaves a wide circle of friends, won during the many years in which he was one of Yavapai county's most highly respected citizens. He was 70 years old at the time of death. ----------------- Note: Later Jackson was reburied at the Henderson Family Cemetery in Yavapai County, Arizona.
