Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, December 1, 2011 - Frances Louise Thomas, 88, passed away Nov. 29, 2011 in Lake Havasu City. She was born on Dec. 17, 1922, in Darlington, S.C.. to John Aaron and Dessie Friar. Frances moved to Lake Havasu City three years ago, coming from Lugoff, S.C. She will be deeply missed. We would like to thank Lake View Terrace for the care and compassion they showed our mother; and to Hospice of Havasu for their dedication and compassion not only to our mother, but to us as well. Frances is survived by her son, Robert “Bob” Thomas; daughter-in-law, Rose Thomas; grandsons, Mark (Suzanne) Shamleffer and Scott (Ably) Shamleffer; great-grandchildren, Chayse, Teague and Yara. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leroy Thomas; daughter, Nancy; brothers Aaron, David and Joel Friar; sisters, Elizabeth Keely and Clarice Branham; and her parents.
