Marian Delta (Amos) Brewer died just before dawn on Friday, December 2, 2011 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona following a lengthy illness. She was 85 years old.
Marian was born in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona in the quaint little town of Pinetop, Arizona on May 14, 1926 to the late Paul E. and Merintha Althera (Penrod) Amos. Throughout her working years, Marian worked as an Administrative Manager for The White Mountain Apache Tribe. She married Harry Lee Brewer and, together, spent a wonderful life together. He preceded her in death on May 9th of this year.

The funeral service for Marian will begin 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Buck Springs Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4075 Buck Springs Road in Pinetop, Arizona.
She will be laid to rest alongside her sweet husband, Harry, at the Brewer Family Cemetery in Post Office Canyon, Arizona.

Marian Delta Amos Brewer, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt died Friday, Dec. 2, at Crismon Peaks Assisted Living in Mesa. She was born in Lakeside May 14, 1926, to Paul E. and Merintha Penrod Amos, the fourth of seven children. She grew up in Whiteriver and graduated high school in Snowflake.
After high school she worked as a switchboard operator in Whiteriver and then at the Goodyear Aircraft Defense Plant in Phoenix. She returned to Whiteriver after a year and on her 20th birthday, met Harry Lee Brewer at a dance in Lakeside. He was a returned Marine veteran and as she always said “the most handsome man I had ever set eyes on.” They were married in Holbrook after five dates, and enjoyed 64 wonderful and loving years together. After getting married, they moved to San Diego for a few years before returning to Whiteriver where Delta was employed with the White Mountain Apache Tribe, starting as a payroll clerk and retiring 20 years later as the Tribal Administrative Officer.
Delta is survived by her daughter, Coleen Lee (Brian) Veach; son-in-law Richard J. Palmer, Sr.; three grandchildren: Caryn Lee (Tyler) Wagenfehr, Melinda Danielle (Mark) Gardner, and Richard J. (Ildiko) Palmer, Jr.; one step-grandson Derrick Veach; four great-grandchildren: Julia Lee Wagenfehr, Alana Danielle Gardner, Melanie Noelle Gardner, Anthony Chad Gardner; sister Gertude Ellison; brother Paul Amos, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Brewer, daughter Chadeen Lee Palmer and brothers: George Amos, Bill Amos, Melvin Amos and Marvin Amos.
Funeral services will be held at the Pinetop Lakes Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pinetop at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. Graveside service and burial will be at the Brewer Family Plot at Post Office Canyon.
