The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, January 21, 1972 Richard Edward Jessen Richard Edward Jessen, a native of Prescott, died Monday, Jan. 17, 1972, at T. L. C. Nursing Home in El Cajon, Calif. Mr. Jessen was born in Prescott on Oct. 11, 1904. He attended schools and following his graduation he remained in the community until 1929 when he moved to Southern California. He was employed by San Diego Transmix Company for 20 years prior to his retirement. Among his survivors are his wife Hollis of El Cajon, two daughters, Mrs. Roberta Badger of Fresno, Calif. and Mrs. Beverly Gravance of Riverdale, Calif., one son, Richard E. Jessen, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada and a step daughter, Mrs. Shirley Pinell of Bakersfield, Calif., nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at Ruffner Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22. The Rev. J. Lloyd Ewart of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Private interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Ruffner Funeral Home handled arrangements.
