The Verde Independent Cottonwood, Arizona March 7, 2007 James R. Wiegand Jr. James R. Wiegand Jr., 72, of Clarkdale, died Feb. 12, 2007, at home. He was born April 21, 1934, in Stockton, Calif., to James R. Wiegand Sr., and Frances (Stanley) Wiegand. James was owner, operator, and CEO of Continental Maritime Ship Repair. His interests included traveling, reading, and football. He was a member of the Garden Community Church. He leaves behind his wife Morgan of Clarkdale; his sons, Robert (Kathy) of Georgia, John (Kim) of Georgia, and Scott (Sherri) of Las Vegas; his daughters, Paulette (Richard) of Maine, Barbara of California, Michele of Arizona, and Danielle (Tony) of California; his sister, Patricia Ryland of California; 18 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service is planned for Sunday, March 11, at 3:30 p.m. at the Garden Community Church, 2030 E. Cherry St., in Cottonwood. All donations are requested to go to the church's building fund.
