The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, February 23, 1972 Bert M. Gilmer Bert M. Gilmer, 77, of 1995 Sidewinder Road in Grandview Estates, died Feb. 22, 1972 at Yavapai Community Hospital. Born Aug. 25, 1894 at Howard Lake, Minn., he moved to Phoenix in 1963 from Minneapolis and to Prescott from Phoenix in 1968. Prior to moving to Minneapolis he lived at Delano, Minn., where he founded and operated the Delano Granite Works. In 1966, while still residing in Phoenix, Mr. Gilmer developed the Grandview Estates in Prescott. He was a member of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce, was a member of Zuhrah Shrine and Star Lodge No. 62 F. & A. M. at Rochford, Minn., was a 32nd degree mason and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include his wife, Hazel, on son, Donald of Delano, Minn., one daughter, Mrs. Jack Holton, of St. Petersburg, Fla., on brother and two sisters, out of state, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at the United Methodist Church in Delano. Interment will follow at the Delano Public cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ruffner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Yavapai county Chapter of the American Cancer Society, c/o Memorial Chairman, 930 Black Drive, Prescott, Ariz.
