Serena Hagevik, devoted wife to Andre' and loving mother to Iselin Lene' passed away on January 30, 2004 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona.
Serena was born in Kirksville, Missouri, on July 6, 1972 to Dinah and David Plunkett.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Environmental Sciences and Human Development & Family Studies and later earned a Master of Arts degree in Family Studies from the University of Missouri.
She married Dr. Andre' Hagevik on November 7, 1998. A daughter, Iselin Lene', was born on February 19, 2000.
Serena began her career with the Arizona Supreme Court as Alternative Dispute Resolution Specialist and later served as the Alternative Dispute Resolution Director for the Superior Court in Maricopa County. At the time of her passing, she served the most important role in her life, that of being home with her daughter. Her brilliant mind and clever wit, her generosity and kindness, and her beautiful face will be forever missed. She brought laughter, joy, and empathy into our lives and comforted us when we cried.
She is survived by her husband Andre' Hagevik and daughter Iselin Hagevik; father and stepmother David & Toni Plunkett and brothers Ian, Austin and Anthony of Florida; grandmothers Maudean Lewis of Arkansas and Marjorie Plunkett of Missouri. In-laws of Norway, Ottar and Hildur Hagevik, Jan Helge & Ellen (Hannah & Lars), Baard & Birgit (Daniel & Christopher), Camilla (Sunneva). Uncles and aunts Don Roberts & Sandy "Sam" Lewis (Carly Dawn & Camryn) of Arkansas, Rick & Sandy Lewis (Kristin & Kayla) of Missouri, Larry & Nancy Plunkett (Jeremy & Jeffrey) of Missouri, Larry & Barb Stratton (Robin) of Missouri, and James & Stephanie Oxford (Sierra & Grant) of Illinois. She was preceded in death by mother, Dinah Dean (Lewis) Curry, maternal grandfather, C.A. "Joe" Lewis, paternal grandfather, Russell Plunkett, and cousin, Zakary Michael Kline.
Her generous and bubbly personality will be sadly missed by her many, many friends in Arkansas, Missouri and Arizona. We were touched by her goodness. She loved her family, friends and pets with all her heart.
Visitation and services were held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. A memorial service was held February 15, 2004, at Dove of the Desert Methodist Church, 7201 W.
