Jane Bradley Walsh Hebern, 81, passed away at home in the presence of her loving family on February 3, 2004.
Born in Philadelphia, she moved with her parents, Richard J. and Nellie Walsh, to Phoenix in 1923. She was in the first graduating class of North High School (1940) and then attended Phoenix College.
She served her country as a Link Trainer Flight Instructor at Williams Air Field during the Second World War, where she met her husband, Joseph A. Hebern. Married in 1945, they had 5 daughters.
She worked at Walsh Bros., the family business, for 20 years and continued as a Director of the corporation until her death. In recent years, she served as a volunteer at Bryans Center and on the Family Council there.
She is survived by her youngest brother, Timothy J. Walsh and 4 of her daughters, Sandy Bjorklund, Ricki Brannon of Fort Worth, Terry Fatout, and Wendy James; and 8 grandchildren, Kara Bjork-lund Beer, Spencer Bjorklund, Britt Bjorklund, Carrie Brannon, Joe Brannon, Erin Fatout, Tom Fatout, and Katie Jane James; as well as a large and loving extended family, including Joe Hebern and the Lay, Walsh, and Whitis families.
Her family rejoices in the knowledge that she is now resting in the hands of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ.
Visitation with Rosary was at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th Street, Phoenix. Graveside services at St. Francis Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
