MCALLISTER, Lou Edna Polly

Lou Edna Polly McAllister, 95, of Glendale, AZ passed away on January 29, 2004. She was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on January 7, 1909. She attended Arlington College in Texas. After her marriage in 1927, she and her husband, Ed moved to Glendale, Arizona where they raised their family and established McAllister Farms for the last 74 years. For 19 years, Lou Edna, worked as a dietitian for the Glendale Elementary Schools. Lou Edna was an active member of Glendale Starlight Women's Club for the last 70 years. Preceding her in death was her husband, Ed, and her son, Tom Ed. She is survived by her daughter, Meta Jo Smith, and son-in-law, Bill Smith, grandchildren, Jody Zanecki, Bill Smith, Dave Smith, Claudia Green, Tom McAllister, and Cindy VanDeann. She is survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. As an accomplishment in her life, she raised her nephew, Dan McAllister and niece, Dorothy Pappas. She is also survived by 5 extended grand-children and 6 extended great-grandchildren. Funeral was at First United Methodist Church located at 7102 N. 58th Drive in Glendale.
