The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, February 2, 1994, page 2B Obituaries - Joseph Kwis Joseph John Kwis, 97, died Jan. 31, 1994, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Prescott. He was born Dec. 25, 1896 in Findley, Ohio to Jacob and Flossie (George) Kwis. Mr. Kwis moved to Arizona in 1933 from Ohio and was a self employed pharmacist. He was a member of the Smoki People and a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Charm Kwis; a daughter, Ann Petticord, of De Land, Fla.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Private burial took place Tuesday at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements made by Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home.
