The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, February 2, 1994, page 2B Fred Castaneda Fred Manuel Castaneda, 52, of Prescott Valley, died Jan. 31, 1994, at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital in Glendale. He was born Jan. 1, 1942, in Prescott, to Jose V. and Lena E. (Imperial) Castaneda. He moved to Prescott Valley six years ago from Prescott. He was a supervisor for Yavapai County for many years. Survivors include his wife, Leona of Prescott Valley; sons, Fred, Jr., and John of Phoenix, and Leonard of Prescott; daughters, Rose and Irene of Phoenix; step-daughters, Cheryl Whitecar of Toledo, Ohio, Phyllis Nicholls, of Denver, and Paula Hanks, of Page; 20 grandchildren; 5 brothers, Rudy, Albert and Roy, all of Prescott, John of Prescott Valley and Pat, of Phoenix; 5 sisters, Lupe and Annie Castaneda, of Prescott, Genevieve, Veronica and Anna Castaneda, all of Phoenix. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 1994, at Memory Chapel Mortuary. Father Fred LaClaire, C.M.F. officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel. Private interment will be at Redwood Memorial Gardens.
