Roger was born in Hamtramck, Mich., on Dec. 22, 1935. He has lived in Arizona since 1959.
Roger was a character and loved to make everyone laugh. His laugh alone was infectious. His untimely passing has saddened us all. He will be dearly missed.

Roger had five grandchildren, whom he loved very much and was very proud of: Kelsey Ponczak, Juan Monreal, Bryan Monreal, Daisy Mallory and Bobby Ponczak; and three great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers Jim (Lois) Ponczak and Craig Ponczak. Roger also has two aunts, Tess and Myn. He loved to reminisce about the good ol' days.
Roger is also survived by many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will be having a private service for Roger.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity Roger favored, steppingstonesaz.org.
I know if he were here, he'd want to say "Merry Christmas."
