On Dec. 3, 2011, God called Barbara Greene home. She was born in Germany on May 23, 1946.
In 1951, her family moved to Canada, then in the 1970’s, she relocated to California where she met her husband, Tom. They have lived in Havasu since moving here from San Dimas, Calif. in 1994. She was enjoying her retirement, traveling to Canada and Phoenix to visit family and friends.
Barbara leaves behind her beloved husband Tom Greene; daughters Kimberly Ballendine of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Tracy Gowan of Nevada; son Greg Ballendine of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; sisters Janet Woodward and Gabriella Klinski and four grandchildren, Andy Lantz and Samantha Johnston, both of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Robin and Bonnie, both of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents Fritz and Gertrude Rinne; son Kenny Ballendine and brother Fred Rinne.
Barbara loved Bingo, Rod Stewart and CSI. She also loved Rocky Road ice cream, God, her family and her babies, Tom and Jerry.
The family would like to thank the staff in the Havasu Regional emergency room, Dr. Vitale, Deanna and Darinda; the respiratory team, Dr. Mendoza and ICU, Dean and Stephanie and especially Larry for going above and beyond in their valiant effort.
She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Barbara will always be “forever young” in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory are requested to go to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.
