Marian Lois Day, 78, went to be with the Lord Nov. 29, 2011. She was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Lincoln, Calif., to Clifford and Hazel (Linggi) Reed.
Marian married her husband, Hansen Day, Feb. 25, 1950, in California, where they raised their family in Sacramento, Glendora and Encinitas, before retiring in Lake Havasu City in 2004. She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church and was known for her great cooking, hospitality, her warm smile, her love of music, her love for her family, being a faithful friend and her devotion to her husband of 61 years. She will be missed by her loving family and dear friends she made along the way.
Marian is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Hansen Day, of Lake Havasu City; daughters, Linda Tessier, of Roosevelt, Minn., Paula Herr, of Lake Havasu City, and Jackie (Ken) Kush, of Irvine, Calif.; sons, Larry (Eileen) Day, of Lake Havasu City, and Stephen Day, of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Hazel Reed.
A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on Dec. 17, at Community Presbyterian Church, 3450 Chemehuevi Blvd.
