BOWERS, Alvera Cathryn

Alvera Cathryn Bowers, 78, of Apache Junction, Arizona passed away Monday, February 2, 2004. Mrs. Bowers was born in Aberdeen, S.D. on December 3, 1925. She was married to Jackie Bowers of Apache Junction, AZ. She retired from Utah Power and Light in 1987. She and her husband moved to Arizona in 1989. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, The Eagles and the Moose. She was interred at Camp Williams Utah on Monday, February 9, 2004. She was preceded in death by Walt and Emma Lubka of Faith, S.D. She is survived by her husband Jackie; daughters, Maryem Waddell, Orlando, Florida, Sheri Smith, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Terri Drashner, Mesquite, Nevada; also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grand children. Services were held out-of-state in Utah. Published in the Arizona Republic on 2/6/2004.
