Emmett Earl Hail, age 88, of Chino Valley, born April 23, 1918, in Sunset, Texas, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, and Prescott.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at First Southern Baptist Church in Chino Valley.

Emmett Earl Hail slipped quietly away the morning of Oct. 25, 2006, at 1:30 a.m. in the Prescott Samaritan Rest Home, where he has lived since 2003. His daughter was at his side.
Earl and his twin (Earlene) were born to William Hail and Martha Brown in Sunset, Texas, on April 23, 1918.
He moved his family from Shamrock, Texas, where they were longtime residents to Phoenix, Ariz., in early 1950. He was a member of the Teamsters and retired as a longtime employee of Time D. C. Trucking in Phoenix. He moved his wife Frances M. Dorman Hail and his grandson William A. Simon to the Prescott area from Phoenix in 1974 and lived here since that time.
Before moving into Prescott Samaritan Village, he lived in Chino Valley and is survived by his second wife Mildred (Mickey) Philomena Fletcher Hyatt Roedell Reynolds Hail.
He was a member of the Chino Valley Lions, the VFW and freely gave love and care to everyone he spoke to. Earl was a veteran of WWII and was stationed in Japan following boot camp at Ft. Sill, Okla. His hobbies were helping other people and wood working.
He was preceded in his death by his parents; 10 siblings; his first wife of 43 years, Frances Hail, on Jan. 19, 1983; a granddaughter, Mrs. Lisa Rae Herrea (Jesse), on Oct. 29, 1996; and a great-grandson, Dusty Earle McClendon, on Nov. 20, 1993.
He is survived by his only living sibling and dear sister, Mrs. Faye
Crossland, living in Abilene, Texas; his children, daughter Patricia
Hail Stautner, son-in-law Michael Stautner and son Jimmy Earl Hail, Sr.; by his seven grandchildren, William A. Simon, Mrs. Sherry L.
Hensley (Eddie), Michael S. McClendon (Echo), Daniel L. McClendon
(Michelle Taylor), Tammy Carter, Jimmy E. Hail Jr. and Stacy A. Hail; his 18 great-grandchildren, Jason A. and William A. Simon Jr.; Jamie L.
Ramirez, Mrs. Sarah M. Pearce (Clint) and Jessica N. Smith; Erica
Rusico, Brandy C. and Casey Jada McClendon; Dalton H., Cash T., Daniel L. Jr. and Tuesday L. McClendon, Michael S., Sarah R., and Jonathan
R. Carter; Krista R. Hail; Zachary R. and Nicholas C. Hail; a great-great-granddaughter Jaden Lea Carter; 34 - plus dear nieces and nephews as well as their spouses. He is also survived by many loving new and long-time friends.

Church in Chino Valley, Arizona on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2006.

Emmett Earl Hall, age 88, of Chino Valley went to meet with his Lord and Savior on October 25, 2006. He was born in Sunset, Texas, on April 23, 1918.
Emmett was a cowboy in Texas and a truck driver in Arizona.
He was a life member and post commander of the American Legion Post # 40 Of Chino Valley American Legion District # 8 Commander, helped start the American Legion Post in Prescott Valley, a life member of the VFW, a member and post president of the Chino Valley Lions Club and a member of the Arizona Counsel of Government. He was in charge of the USDA Commodities for five years and helped start the Chino Valley Meals on Wheels and the Chino Valley Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mildred "Mickey" Hail; sister Faye Crossland of Abilene, Texas; children, Patricia Stauntner, Jimmy Earl Hail; stepchildren, Karen Samuelson, Frederick Flitcher. Janetta Fuller and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Chino Valley.
