MESSANA, Vito


Vito Messana, 81, Phoenix, passed away February 1, 2004. He was born July 22, 1923, in Chicago, Ill. Vito was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific theatre. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked in maintenance. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara, his sons Vito Nicholas and Charles Edward, daughters-in-law Margie and Ruby, 5 grandchildren: Vito, Matthew, Patrick, Ashley, Hector Jr. and Charlie, his sister Marianna and brother Christopher, and many loving nieces and nephews. Memorial services were at Northwest Community Christian Church, 16615 N. 43 Ave., Phoenix. Donations to the American Diabetes Assoc., 8125 N. 23 Ave. #222, Phoenix, AZ 85021.
