Lela Elizabeth (Waddle) Allbritten, 82, of Peoria was taken home to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 4, 2004.
She was born in Prescott, Arkansas on October 19, 1921 to Arthur B. Waddle and Vanna May.
She has lived in Arizona since 1934. She was a member of Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church in Peoria and a past member of the United Methodist Church of Eloy, Arizona; she was also a proud member of the Order of Eastern Star in Eloy. She graduated from Casa Grande High School and Greggs Business College in Phoenix. She retired from First National Bank of Arizona after 31 years of service.
Lela is survived by her devoted and loving husband L.D. of 61 years, her daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Jim Mertens, granddaughter and her husband Cydni and Neil Ambrosio, great-grandsons Christopher and Anthony Ambrosio, sister Martha Parsons, brother Roger Waddle and his wife Delores, brother-in-law Calvin Allbritten and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her family is so fortunate to have shared her life. She will be remembered and greatly missed by family and friends.
A memorial service was held at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, Arizona. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Valley, Sun City Palliative Care Facility, 11301 N. 99th Ave., Peoria, Arizona 85345.
