Patricia Gerould Treadway, of Scottsdale, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004.
Patty was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 17, 1920. She and her husband Royal owned and operated Casa Blanca Inn in Scottsdale from 1950 to 1969.
Patty was a member of the Junior League of Phoenix; the National Girls' Club Board of Directors; co-founder of the Scottsdale Girls' Club and Desert Debs; a member of the Pinnacle Presbyterian Church and member of the Westminster Village Board of Directors. An English major at Wells College, Aurora, NY, she authored the saga of her life as a hotel manager's wife in a book entitled "Beds I Have Slept Inn."
Patty is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Royal; son Peter of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; daughter Patricia Ann "Panny" and son-in-law Joe Trueba of Bedford, TX; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
