GROVER, Kevin James

Kevin James Grover's spirit peacefully joined the Lord and all the relatives and friends before him on February 4, 2004. Kevin was born in Davenport, Iowa on January 28, 1953 to Robert and Lois (Levi) Grover. He graduated from Pleasant Valley H.S. in 1971 and was active in band, drama and boy scouts. He attended Iowa State University, graduated from Grandview Lutheran College in Des Moines, IA and Glendale Community College in Phoenix with associate degrees. His creative and adventurous nature took him to California before he settled in Phoenix, AZ where he married Carol Soule in 1992. He often commented that his wife Carol's smile melted his heart and they worked creatively together as they happily journeyed through life. Kevin leaves his loving wife Carol (Soule) Grover, his parents Robert and Lois (Levi) Grover of Bettendorf, IA, his sisters and their families; Russ and Karen (Grover) Floyd of Jericho, VT, Michael and Suzanne (Grover) Monroe of Dahlonega, GA and Allison Grover of Bettendorf, Iowa, his aunt Barbara Reneau of Sun City West, AZ, James and Dolores Soule of Phoenix, Bob and Connie (Soule) Soots of Phoenix, his nieces and nephews: Samantha and Heather Floyd, Mariah Monroe, Becky (Proffitt) Mazurek, Bradley Proffitt, James and Angela Newkirk and their daughter Tatum, and Cindy Newkirk who could really make Kevin smile and cheer him up. There are many friends who will also miss Kevin. Kevin was predeceased by his grandparents: Cleo and Susan Grover, Charles and Lena (Levi) Fiering, his cousin Ky Reneau and his uncle Kyle Reneau. The family appreciates the many caring and compassionate physicians, care givers and support people who traveled this journey with them and will be honoring Kevin's wishes with a private memorial service.
